HP ipaq 512:Is this the new HP iPaq smart phone?
Ubergizmo has uncovered a leaked image of an unreleased HP iPaq going by the name “Silver”. Supposedly running Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, it’s a handset that looks like an update to the company’s 512 Voice Messenger smart phone which has been around for almost two years now. Rumored specifications suggest that it will have a full suite of connectivity options including 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS. The keypad looks similar to the ones found on BlackBerry’s consumer-friendly Pearl series of devices.
At a press event last month in Hong Kong, HP told CNET Asia that it will be releasing new iPaq devices before the end of the year. Whether or not this image is what HP will be launching, we are definitely looking forward to seeing something from the computer giant soon.
